Аннотация
This article looks into the sociolinguistic aspect of double modality. The most frequent combinations, attested through the corpus-based method, were subjected to a sociolinguistic analysis to see how age, gender and level of education of the respondents influence presence of double modality in their speech. We state geographical expansion of the phenomenon, its acceptance by various gender and age groups and its usage in different types of discourse and speech situations.
