Abstract
the study revealed the features of professional well-being and burnout of specialists in the field of IT development, and also showed the relationship between them. The empirical verification of the research hypotheses was carried out on a sample of 152 IT specialists living in different cities and working in different companies, with an average age of 31 years, an average experience in IT of 7 years, and 3.5 years at their current place of work. Research methods: a questionnaire with biographical data – age, gender, position, work experience, a new version of the professional burnout questionnaire by Vodopyanova N.E. (2023) was used to study burnout syndrome, the methodology of A.A. Oboznov and co-authors (2020) was used to study professional well-being. According to the results of the study, emotional exhaustion and depersonalization are most pronounced among the respondents, while the reduction of professional achievements is less characteristic. Among the components of professional well-being, socio-professional demand is most pronounced. It is specific that as the severity of burnout increases, the components associated with passion for work and a positive attitude towards it, meaningfulness, independence and personal relevance of a professional in the organization are practically not subject to change. The analysis of interrelations revealed a negative correlation between the general level of professional burnout and the perception of the profession's relevance in society. The results obtained can be used in the development of psychological support programs for IT specialists within the framework of the subject-resource approach.
