Risk management plays a key role in achieving the goals of government programs, ensuring the sustainability and effectiveness of their implementation. The research uses theoretical and empirical methods, including the analysis of regulatory documents, statistical data and generally accepted risk management practices in the public sector. Based on the analysis, recommendations are proposed for improving risk management mechanisms, which will improve not only the effectiveness of implementing government programs, but also the effectiveness of achieving their targets.
