Development of Mathematical Tools of a Module for Calculating Parameters of Blades in Cad/Cam System for Designing Sectional Axial Tools
Аннотация
The basic aspects of mathematical tools for developing a module for calculating parameters of blades of sectional axial tools are elucidated. The place of the module in the CAD/CAM system of designing sectional tools developed around graph models is determined. The main stages of CAD/CAM system operation are indicated. The results of operation of the module for designing sectional drill fitted with two detachable plates are reported.



Increasing the Energy Efficiency of Heating and Cooling Systems for the Tank Farms of Oil and Gas Enterprises
Аннотация
Approaches for improving the efficiency of heating and cooling systems in order to maintain the temperature conditions of tank farms used for storage of hydrocarbons at oil and gas enterprises, including recycling of drainage from the combined generation of thermal and electrical energy, cold, and water, are considered. A design of a combined system of thermal and electrical supply, and supply of cold air and water with recycling of wastes and drainage for the tank farm of an oil and gas refining enterprise, the stock of equipment at the enterprise, and the results of cost-benefit estimation of the efficiency of the system are presented.

Аннотация
Different designs of damping cutting tools intended to assure the stability of the cutting process and high quality of surface treatment are proposed. Theoretical and experimental studies of models of a cutting tool together with a determination of the microscopic irregularities of the worked surface are performed.






Study of the Adhesive Properties of a Coating Prepared by Deforamtion Cladding with a Flexible Tool
Аннотация
Results are given for quantitative evaluation of the adhesive strength of a coating formed by deformation cladding with a flexible tool. It is established that ultimate strength with normal separation of a specimen from an antifriction material coating formed on a steel 45 (HRC 43–45) surface reaches 7.8 MPa on average. Failure is predominantly adhesive in nature.



Experience in Restoring Hydraulic Cylinder Rods by Plasma Powder Surfacing
Аннотация
Development of technology for restoring worn hydraulic cylinders by plasma-powder surfacing providing new operating properties is of current interest. The possibility is studied of restoring rods by surfacing with a coating of the Fe–C–Cr–V system.



Determining the Geometric Parameters of a Sheared Layer in Drilling of Nonferrous Metals and Alloys with the Use of Axial Vibrations
Аннотация
The problem of determining the kinematic parameters of a vibrodrilling device and the geometric elements of a sheared layer produced in the course of treating nonferrous metals and alloys by drilling with the use of axial vibrations is considered. Relationships between the dimensions of an element of a chip and the frequency of the axial vibrations are found.



Foundations of Numerical Simulation and Design of Electrodynamic Devices for the Creation and Disintegration of Water-Oil Emulsions
Аннотация
Different methods for the numerical description of the behavior of a fluid–fluid interface in an electric field are proposed. A variation in the base system of equations for dielectrics and weakly conducting fluids is demonstrated. A deterministic approach to the description of two-phase flows traveling under the effect of an electric field is used. The system of equations proposed by G. A. Ostroumnov is adopted as a basis for a quantitative description of electrohydrodynamic phenomena. The proposed approach is used in numerical simulation of processes that occur in the intra-electrode space of electrodispersers and electrocoalescers in order to optimize their design and attain the maximal effect of separation with minimum energy costs.



Enhancement of Chemical-Technological Processes for Creation and Destruction of Water-Oil Emulsions Based on a Systems Analysis
Аннотация
Systems analysis methods were used to find ways to improve chemical-technological processes for creation and destruction of water-oil emulsions in an electric field. The chemical-technological system of an electric desalting unit (HTS-CDU) was divided into seven detailed subsystems. It is shown that the proposed approach allows consideration of various parameters affecting the system and provides a basis for the engineering design of processing equipment for the creation and destruction of an emulsion in an electric field.



Influence of Geometric Parameters of an Acoustic Piston Supercharger on its Operating Efficiency

The influence of the geometric parameters of an acoustic piston gas supercharger on its operating efficiency is considered. An estimate of the capacity of the supercharger in a resonance operating regime is presented.



Fractionating Tower with Integrated Heat Transfer
Аннотация
The subject of the present study is a tubular fractionating tower in which the heat exchange pipes and the intertubular space together function as contact devices, while the process of fractionation itself occurs in the film mode; the tubular space fulfills the functions of a stripping section, while the intertubular space serves as a rectifying section and condenser for use in the formation of distillate. As a result of mass transfer, the steam phase is enriched with low-boiling components and the liquid phase with high-boiling components. The study is designed to develop methods of calculating and simulating processes in a fractionating tower with integrated heat exchange. Through the use of the results of the study, the energy consumption and metal content of the equipment may both be reduced.



Electrochemical Dispersion of Aluminum Alloys in an Aqueous Sodium Hydroxide Solution
Аннотация
Results of experiments on the kinetics of hydrogen generation by electrochemical dispersion of an aluminum alloy D16 in an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide under alternating (AC) electric current are provided. It was found that the rate of hydrogen evolution under alternating electric current is significantly greater than the rate of hydrogen evolution in a reaction without the application of an electric current. The use of an alternating current produces Al(OH)3 powders with more highly disperse particles.



A Study of Methane Storage Characteristics of Compacted Adsorbent AU-1
Аннотация
An experimental stand for measuring the specific methane storage capacity of monolithic adsorbent samples was designed and produced. Experimental studies of methane accumulation on compacted monolithic samples of industrial activated carbon were carried out in a range of pressures up to 8 MPa and temperatures from –29.7 to 90°C. It was shown that refrigeration drastically increases methane storage capacity: target level of 150 m3(NTP)/m3can be reached at 1.8 MPa and –29.7°C.



Fire- and Explosion-Safe Low-Temperature Filling of an Adsorption Natural Gas Storage System
Аннотация
Low-temperature filling of an adsorption natural gas (methane) storage system is analyzed theoretically with respect to fire- and explosion-safety and energy efficiency. It is shown that cooling during filling of the adsorption system increases the fire- and explosion-safety of the filling and storage systems. The temperatures to which low-temperature filling of an adsorption storage system has lower energy losses than a compressed-gas filling system without adsorbent in yearly average and summer modes are determined.



Selection of Coolant for Low-Temperature Refrigerators
Аннотация
A list of substances that can be used as low-temperature refrigerants for cryogranulation in cryochemical technology is provided. The substances are analyzed according to a criterion that considers the thermodynamic and transport properties of refrigerants. Data from a performance evaluation of various refrigerants are presented. For example, butane has properties that allow high efficiency to be achieved when it is used as a refrigerant but it is a flammable and explosive material, which limits its use.

Analysis of Errors in the Form of a Part in Forming of Polyhedra by a Planetary Gear with the Use of Methods from the Geometric Theory of Cutting
Аннотация
Methods of forming polyhedral (multifaceted) surfaces by means of a planetary plotting device and a technique of determining the error are presented. Through the use of the obtained data, an analysis of error in the geometric form of a produced part as a function of the overall dimensions and number of facets is performed. The results of the study may be used in the development of design and production documentation in the training of the production of parts containing multifaceted surfaces to assure specified characteristics of an article.



Use of a Developed Production Process of Centrifugal Electroslag Casting For Manufacturing a Reducer
Аннотация
A production process is considered for preparing reducer-type objects from steel grades 17G1S and 09G2S by centrifugal electroslag casting. Analyses of chemical composition and mechanical properties are provided for objects prepared by different technology. The advantage of centrifugal electroslag casting is demonstrated, making it possible to prepare cast objects with physical and mechanical properties corresponding to the State Standard (GOST) and technical specifications for these steel grades having configuration and geometric dimensions close to those of finished objects.
