“Power and Elites” is a Russian academic peer-reviewed journal that has been published since 2014. This journal became a logical continuation of published materials from annual all-Russian seminar “Sociological problems of power institutions under conditions of Russian transformation” that has been held by the sector of sociology of power and civil society of Sociological Institute of the Russian Academy of Science since 2001.
The journal publishes original articles containing the results of theoretical and empirical studies of power, power structures, institutions and groups. The journal also publishes translations, reviews and overviews of scientific conferences.
Publication frequency: quarterly (since 2024).
The editorial policy of the journal is formed and implemented in cooperation between Editorial board and Editorial team. Both bodies include leading researchers in the field of political sociology and political science. The publication process is organized by Editorial team. Editor in chief of the journal “Power and Elites” is Candidate of Political Science Aleksander V. Duka.
The journal provides open access to all materials after the issue is published, thus facilitating a wide exchange of knowledge. Full-text electronic versions of articles and other publications are posted on the journal’s official website on the Internet. The journal materials are available under the Creative Commons Attribution International 4.0 CC-BY license.
