Abstract
In modern conditions Russian society has faced sanctions pressure on an unprecedented scale. The change in the nature of social tension is seen as the society’s response to the new challenges. Theoretical and empirical analysis of the stated problem allowed us to determine the format of changes in social tension under sanctions. The sociological analysis carried out allowed us to identify the threats and outline the prospects for the development of society in the conditions of anti-Russian sanctions.
