The article reveals the specifics of the influence in the modern educational media discourse in different linguocultures. The research material includes media messages selected by continuous sampling, broadcast in Russian and foreign media as part of educational media communication. The goal of the article is to identify the main features of the influence in the modern educational media discourse. The goal is achieved by applying the following research methods: descriptive method, inductive-deductive method, lexical analysis, grammatical analysis, stylistic analysis, discourse analysis, content analysis, interpretive analysis, quantitative analysis. It has been established that in educational media communication such aspects of impact as value, evaluation, functionality, imitation and suggestiveness are updated.
