The problem of safe behavior of the individual in the age of postmodernism

Golubeva O.Y.

Abstract

The article addresses the issue of safe personality behavior in postmodern settings. In postmodernism, personality is seen as a construct formed in the process of interaction with various socio-cultural starting points. The author concludes that such characteristic manifestations of postmodernism, such as the erosion of identity, when a person becomes ambiguous and fragmented, as well as relativism, the lack of norms and universal truths can cause a sense of loss of identity and security, can lead to moral disorientation and uncertainty, which, in turn, contributes to the creation of a sense of vulnerability and danger. Analyzing the views of famous philosophers on the problem of safe behavior of the individual in the postmodern era, the author concludes that the search for security in the postmodern is possible through the achievement of, firstly, subjective security, when in the absence of objective truths, the person can strive for subjective security through the development of critical thinking, introspection, empathy and dialogue with others. Secondly, through the development of sociocultural flexibility, which is manifested in the ability to adapt to various sociocultural contexts and accept a variety of worldviews and, accordingly, contribute to strengthening personal security in the postmodern era.

The resources of multicultural architecture in modern european linguistic space

Abstract

The report investigates the issues of formation and current transformation in the European language landscape, which is of great interest to linguistic researchers and scholars from other social and humanitarian fields. Historical narratives prove the specific markers of the region as an example of the land of numerous languages and cultures. The binary perception of the language world in Europe is primarily based on the conception of two-way role of English: as a dominant language and English as a foreign/second language. The European Centre of Modern Languages promotes quality language education and is seen as a conductor of the continent’s language policy with involvement into culture studies, pedagogical theory and practice, including the reforms in the language education.

About reading, the culture of reading and their reflection in the content of theoretical general professional disciplines of the library studies and bibliography cycle

Borodina S.D., Mansurova A.R., Maslova Y.V., Dresher Y.N.

Abstract

In memory of Arkady Sokolov

As humanity enters the digital age, reading culture is at a turning point. Manifestations of the transformation of reading have been observed over the past twenty years, but no one has undertaken to predict the prospects for reading and its status in the future. This controversial issue is often accompanied by cultural pessimism (the end of book culture is near), predictions of diversification of specific media (print culture will find its new niche), and technological optimism (digital innovation lies ahead). In the context of these discussions, we can talk about a paradoxical discrepancy: the documentary stream is replete with discussions, research on digital technologies, digital culture, digital transformation of society, etc., but reveals a lack of information on the culture of reading in general, the culture of reading in the modern situation and their reflection in the content of librarian training.

The article represents reflections on the transformation of the reading culture, the realities of digital reading in the modern world, the form of their reflection in library and bibliographic theory, including on the basis of a generalization of the experience of library staff training.

Zinnatullina A.A.

Abstract

The study of the life and work of outstanding personalities of their people is one of the most significant areas of modern historical research. It is especially important to study the heritage of educators who lived and worked at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. They directed all their efforts, knowledge and skills to the enlightenment of the people. Magruy Muzaffaria is one of the first Tatar enlighteners of that time. She made a significant contribution to the development of the Tatar people and to the education of Tatar girls. The article is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of her birth. The article highlights her brief biography, pays special attention to her teaching activities, and analyzes her written legacy. The main novelty of the article is a brief overview of her two works, which until today have not yet become objects of scientific research. This is the book "Nasihatnamе li–ehli zamanа" and the first guide to the city of Kazan for Tatar-speaking travelers and citizens.

The book "Nasihatnamе li-ehli zamana" is of a moralizing nature. It was published in 1901. The book consists of three small parts. The first part of the book is addressed to young girls and women. In this part, the author emphasizes the need for education, pays special attention to the upbringing and education of children. The second part of the book contains instructions for relatives and mothers-in-law. According to the author, it is the mother-in-law who should be the main assistant, adviser and support of her bride. The third part of the book describes the rights and obligations of husband and wife to each other.

Another very important work of Magruy Muzaffaria is the compilation of a guide to the city of Kazan. The guide was addressed to the Tatar-speaking audience and was called “Tatars”. This is the first reference and information publication of this genre in Kazan in the Tatar language.

Magruy Muzaffaria has done a lot for the development of national education. Studying the heritage of such educators can add a lot of interesting facts to our knowledge.
